Can't wait to see your custom hood! I didn't like any aftermarket ones for our monte's that's why I custom built my functional cowl hood for turbo monte!

 

Well, finally got around to it...... Here are a couple of pics of phase 1... Observations, engine temps run cooler and more steady at speed and especially under WOT... Engine sound and CAI noticeably louder... Custom white engine cover visible through scoops... Used a plastic trim on cut portion of hood... Need to find a solution for the liner, maybe some wider trim to finish her off... Added bonus, folks always look at the scoop opennings when driving by, now she gets a thumbs up and a head nod...... Phase II will take a little longer as the fabrication will take quite a bit of work and fore thought to get it right... All in all, very pleased with the result...

Thanks Jason. I like the way it turned out barring the trim issue that I need to figure out. I just couldn't justify the shipping to Canada that MPD needed plus the added potential for damage during shipping which is almost guaranteed.
