Which FlowMasters Series should I get?
I just bought a '81 Monte Carlo (yay!). The previos owner/s dualed it out, and I don't know what brand mufflers are on it.
I want to get Flowmasters. I am going to swap the 305 with a 350 w/ a cam.
I want a "quite rumble" or maybe you would call it "mild sound"
.....nice sound, know its Flowmasters...but not overly aggressive
Guess a happy medium
Which series would best fit me? (if they are some)
Also, anyone heard of the Flowsound, the Flowmasters clone?

for me if i have a V8 i like the aggressive sound super 40 or 44. here is the link to different flowmaster series and on the left side of the link is a sound clip you can listen to.

the delta 50 is the way to go if you want it to be quiet with a little rumble. im running the 40s on my 80 with 2.5 piping to the small tube headers. it sounds pretty good but im sure its way louder than you want to go. 50s will be quiet delta 50s would be quieter than that.
well got my 350 all stuggled in...started monday
just gotta get water pulley studs and put radiator bac in..then spin it abit and try to crank it and see how its running.....and see how good the cam is hitting
Then ill decide....I want deep tone rather than loud
So prob get 44s or 50s
Thanks everyone that replied ;-)

wow.....by the end of the year look what all can change
that engine not even in car
But I have a mild cammed 350 with small 2" dual piping
I decided on 50 Series Delta Flow
With that semi-agressive cam....I even could have gone to the 50 SUVs :-?
I don't know im torn...I like the sound (I dont love it compared to other Flows i've heard, but I do have baby piping), and definately proved that it kills inside drone.....its much quieter inside and when its like upper RPM its not loud kind of gets more solid melower uniform sound....cam makes that "you know there a cam somewhere" sound so its pretty noticeble the sound at idle
and it sounds better than whatever was under there....the 50s are pretty big and heavy though!.....but they have more nasly throaty sound at times than that stupid baffling plaftt plafftt sound on the old mufflers
if anyone want clips or something....ill take some on my cheap mini-cam, should do the job...or I guess use my good cam, just gonna have to compress video
