Default CAI installation

Hello!

Tonight, while installing my K&N FIPK CAI, the two plugs that connect into the PCM came a little loose. Well, the casing on the outside came off and I can't really push it back on. I'm kindof worried, but I'm kindof not. This is because none of the engine was wet when I opened the hood, and there is dust on it, which means water hasn't been able to get to it.

Just because I'm not that worried, maybe doesn't mean I shouldn't be. I was just wondering if I should be worried about it.

Thanks,
Tyler

The orange rubber around the plugs?

Mine came off and it was a pain to fit it back on and put the PCM back together, but it's doable and necessary haha

I had the same trouble with the orange rubber, but I got it back on.

But what I'm talking about is the blue casing on the outside of the plugs.

Is it more effective to have the bigger filter that looks more like an oval, or the smaller filter that looks more like a cirlce? My CAI came with the bigger one, but I've seen people with the smaller one.

I'm not sure what you are talking about to be honest.

And use the big *** filter that came with the system :P
