so im going with 2.5 inch pipe all the way back, removing the resonator and then have that go to a y pipe and then finally I decided on the Flowmaster 40 series. Since i know the 40 series is a pretty popular among you guys what do you think overall?

What year and engine do you have in your car? I have the exact same setup except mine still has the resonator and it sounds great! I love the deep tone and everything when I'm driving.

Yeah with the resonator delete it will make it sound great with flow master 40 series. I'm thinking of deleting my resonator on mine also.

Not a fan of removing the resonator since it helps soften the exhaust note. If you really like a loud exhaust, then deleting it is the way to go.

on the 3400 you will probably be ok with deleting the resonator but i would not suggest doing so on a 3800 with aftermarket mufflers..... if you have a 3800 do a resonator delete and keep stock mufflers.
