hey i was thinking about getting a new dp and i was just wondering how this would work out im pretty sure our headers are 3" right? and the dp is only 2.5" or something so would that be the first place to start to build up with the 3" pipe or are the headers only 2.5"

 

the DP actually has 3" ends on it, and it goes down to 2.5". i would personally do a 3" downpipe first, since this will kill more KR (if your supercharged), and open up your exhaust alot. i did a 3" DP a month or two ago and cannot begin to tell you how happy i am. the best setup i have seen is JimmycV2.5 i think it is. its one piece including high flow cat, downpipe and u-bend delete. if your going to take it somplace or can weld, get the standard 3" DP from the W-body store (www.wbodystore.com). I think i paid under $200 for the pipe, shipped.

 

im not s/c so that isnt a big deal i was just wondering where in the system it drops down to 2.5 from 3"

 

on my GP it dropped almost immediately after it bolted to the exhaust manifolds

 

so where would the first place i need to start to build it 3" all the way??? the downpipe???
