Cold Air Intakes
I have an 01 Monte Carlo LS. I've been looking everywhere possible but cant seem to find a cold air intake for the 3400. Is it possible that i could just force the intake for the 3800 on mine? or does anyone know of a company who sells intakes for the 3400? Also any suggestions on any other upgrades i can do. I'm just starting out and it takes me a while to save up money but so far i have tinted windows, dual flowmasters, 2-12" rockford fasgate subs and an off-brand amp. and soon to come ill be putting on the racing spoiler and even further down the raod some new wheels. Let me know if you will. thanks!

RE: Cold Air Intakes
hey man! welcome to the forums... post around and trust me, you'll learn a lot! I also have an LS and am going to probably get this...
Chevrolet 95-03 Monte Carlo (3.4L) Weapon-R Secret Weapon Intake System (307-158)
from what I ve got out of it, i guess it works great and if you ever get a ram air hood, it will actually work!

RE: Cold Air Intakes
you can make your own cheaper than that kit, and i think making your own would turn out a bit better
i've always tried to stay away from pricing out the weapon stuff, seems like a no-name product for the honda boyz

RE: Cold Air Intakes
I agree with Josh, if you can make your own, go for it. It's definitely cheaper. However I doubt I could pull it off myself. So when I get the funds I'm probably going to get the Wizaired CAI.
"3400 V6 WizAired CAI System - Designed for the GM W-Body vehicles using the GM 3400 V6 engine naturally aspirated found in some GM W-Body vehicles. This 3400 V6 version has a two piece intake duct that accommodates throttle body and the separate Mass Air Flow sensor found on this series engine."
