this is for an 06 monte 3.5L
i was thinking about buying a cold air intake and i heard that it might cause the check engine light to come on. is was looking on ebay and i saw there are two different types. ok so here are the two different types:
1.)the one that sells for $45 connects right from the throttle body.
2.)the one that sells for $16 connects after the big maf sensor.
it is your choice. some people prefer to replace the whole stock air intake right from the throttle body. and they choose the $45 one.
the red highlighted is what the seller of the intake sent to me when i asked him what the difference is between the two. does anyone have some advice for me? should i go for option 1 or option 2 or should i just forget about the intake and get a k and n air filter? please let me know what option i should do and if the check engine light really does come on? your feedback is appreciated!
