i am supprised bumpin didnt chime in. he knows more about the 3800 supercharged modle. the reason why is he has a really nice built one. he might help some on what you are looking for. i am wondering what you are looking for to help the engine last with the mustang? or do you want to start to spank a lot of people who have them. my co-worker has a built 3800 supercharged with a built trans as well it runs great. he started out like you did till he had some thing wiered happen. he spun a berring. he ended up building it from the ground up and got the trans from tripple edge. he keeps up with my gt i give the 3800 supercharged a lot of respect do to it being fwd also the upgrades for it.but i am wondering on what you like to do before tinkering

 

he has a 4 speed i have a 6 speed manual. the two gears i pass him till then were side by side. we both keep saying chevy should have braught out the 6 speeds a lot sooner than now.
