With the back bumper removed- you can see how it is installed- and why you can't really see the glasspack from the rear at all, if you install it where the muffler was and put the new tip on an extension to reach the rear bumper. Not to mention, most glasspacks are only like 3.5"- 4" diameter anyways, so your tip will hide a lot of it anyways.

That last pic was the last day I had that exhaust- it went into the dumpster that afternoon, and I ran open DP from then until I got the new exhaust after the L67 swap.

Would you think getting a stainless steel would be a better choice over an aluminum or plain steel one? Its like $60 more, but I've seen some get pretty bad looking over time.

 

If you plan to keep the car, and you know it is what you want- then stainless is definitely worth it. A properly installed all-stainless setup will be as maintenance free as stock.

If you get that cheap crap like I did- you're only going to get a couple of years (2-3)out of it before it starts rusting through and rattling if you live where they use salt in the winter.

I ended up rusting through 3 tips (was on my 4th at the time), 2 glasspacks, and 1 resonator delete (mild steel straight pipe from the shop) before I did my L67 swap.

 

Well my dad said Its my first car and I will only have it for around 2-3 more years, and the winters cover the road with salt, but mine is not the car driven then. Thats what the Silverado and grand car van are for. I will look for a stainless steel tip to put on, to make it look much better.

Other thing I'm going to get is a K&N air filter to keep in the stock air filter.
