Default Best sound for 06 Monte Carlo LT

I just bought this 2006 Monte Carlo LT 3.5L. I'm looking to put something to add some noise without doing the whole exhaust system. Any suggestions? I'm looking to spend less than 115 dollars. Please post if you have some good ideas. Thank you.

I'm sure you will need to spend more than $115. I have Magnaflow mufflers and Magnaflow resonator, and converted from single to dual. I paid around $350 to have my exhaust work done.

Here is a link to a video of my exhaust:

x2 for magnaflows. i think they make my 3.5 sound pretty good for a 6cyl. not too tinny or obnoxious. just a nice mellow tone.

i have the same setup as mike, but kept my stock resonator as i was trying to do everything on the cheap like you are. my whole setup costed me $330 in all.

$120 for 2 mufflers from "make offer" deal on ebay
$35 for 2 stainless tips
$175 for muffler shop to fab the pipes and weld it all up

Yeah I'd like to go dual but rather just stick with the single out. I do like Magnaflows. I had one on my 05 Chevy Cobalt (obviously a tuner sound). Thats what I'm looking for is a muffler and tip probably for hopefully around the price I said before.

Well to stay single output, you probably could add a magnaflow muffler, and tip for close to $115-150...

If you are sticking with just 1 for NOW, then just do a muffler and tip, and leave the rest of the piping alone since you will have a Y-Pipe made up later

Yeah that's what I'd like to do. What would you suggest for the muffler and tip? If you can link me to some videos and the place I can purchase them from

Go to your local muffler shop and ask them for prices compare with online searches. Search youtube for sound clips.

But I would say get a magnaflow also, and make sure the tips you like the look of, and are 304 stainless
