305 Heads 350 Block. Good or Bad? Carb?
I finally dusted off my engine today. Its been in storage since I had it bored .30 over about 3 years ago. At that time I was told to save and use the heads I pulled off my Monte's 305. Not knowing anything about engines myself I kept them. I pulled the heads out today and everyone now thinks I should get differant heads. Can I use these heads or should I look for another set?
Heres what I got,
70-76 4 bolt main 350 Block bored .30 over. Casting # 3970014
80-86 305 Heads 1.84"/ 1.5" Valves, 58cc chambers Casting # 14014416
Also I have a Edelbrock Victor Jr. Intake, part # 2975. I could use some ideas on what kind of carb 2 use. I currently have 2 Edelbrock Carbs, both are part # 1405. I dont know what size they are yet. Not even sure if I can use one on my engine. If you know, please let me know.
Thanks, Bobb
