Default 2000 SS question

Yesterday we cut my exhaust off from the resonator back and put on a new Y pipe and two flowmaster deltas on and its not that much louder than stock..Do they make aftermarket resonators or can i just eliminate it all together without it throwing any codes or making my car run ****ty? thanks

Resonator just quiets the car down. You can install a shorter one, or remove it all together with no problems.

Just so you are 100%, these cars sound like crap when they are too loud.

I think stock it's almost 24" long, my GMPP Cat-Back exhaust made it 16 or 18" along with the magnaflow mufflers, I like the sound not too droney on the highway.

Can you send like a 10 sec clip of what it sounds like idle and revved up to like 4k to chaz.ruse@yahoo.com and do you know where i can get a shorter RES that will bolt right on and then clamp onto the outlet end? thanks

I imagine any exhaust shop should be able to help you get what you need.

The drone from a res delete could be a little too much on the 3800
