2000 Monte Carlo Factory Stereo QUestion
my son has a 2000 Monte Carlo which has a factory stereo
I am replacing this with a new one and speakers and have been told by Best Buy that the installation of the reciever will be higher if the factory stereo is a Bose because it will need some type of bra
Can someone answer that question for me
Thank You

RE: 2000 Monte Carlo Factory Stereo QUestion
Best buy is probably talking about the wiring harness that will allow for the connection between the new receiver and the factory amplifier. that wiring harness is expensive depending where it comes from it could cost from $60 to 100$ and if you will need the basic one or the higher model one. this is necessary because the chimes that would occur if you left your lights on ect. it would not chime without the wiring harness and the way that the factory amp needs to connect to the new receiver this in necessary.
