It's a good idea to have your system at-least "Tack Welded", ... that way you KNOW you aren't going to cross some RR Tracks or a vicious Speed Bump and have the thing come loose. There's nothing more embarrassing than needing a Tow Truck for a Exhaust System that's dragging on the ground.

I have the Dynomax system with stock resonator and for a short period of time no cat and it sounded great. I wasn't bothered nor were my passengers annoyed by it at all.

I used all the clamps and for the fours years I did have it never once did I have any problems with it coming loose. I drive Michigan roads all the time and I autocrossed this car too. But I don't disagree with having it tack welded a few times for insurance. No need for a full weld. They also have those no leak clamps as well.

I also have a 2000 Monte Carlo Pace Car. I recently maybe about 2 months ago got an SLP Cat Back for my Monte and I like it a lot. I also got a cat-less downpipe from ZZP as well.

Thanks for all the opinions. Thinking the Dynomax system would be good for me.

Default Exhaust

If you have the money, Corsa, Corsa, Corsa. The whole system is like $1,200. Iam sure you can find one cheaper though. I have it on my 04 SS and it really lets you hear your supercharger! with out a doubt my favorite exhaust company, they are unmatched in quality. In my opinion its THE best exhuast system you can put on a monte for power/sound. Just my 2cents

Does anyone have the slp headers. I've seen them on a few websites now. They seem pretty good, im not sure they seem like a good company. I dont know very much about the other ones like pace setter or whatever. Looking to get the slp and a full exhaust to tie it all together. Any help would be greatly appericiated.

most header designs are going to be very similar and flow similarly, I would check out the speed daddy headers if I were you
