Default 2000 Monte Carlo ss Exhaust Suggestions?

I baught a 2000 Monte Carlo SS Pace car and i was wanting to make it louder. Iv looked up a few Vids on youtube and i found one where they just went with Straight pipes.(Cut out the muffler and the resonator). i would think this would be alot cheeper than getting a hole new set. But im not sure. If you have any suggestions, i would like to hear them before i do something i might regret.

Dynomax makes a good affordable cat back for our car - I have it on my 03. Since you live in FL you won't have to worry about it rusting.
I also like the SLP system I have on my 05 - stainless steel and no resonator 2.5 inch system when the majority of them are 2.25.

I took off my resonator and I hated it I had to put one back on at 2000 rpm or cruising speed it has a loud droning sound so I put a shorter one on ( shorter than stock ) and it sound great now

I got a new resonator after the stock resonator split at the seam. The noise was driving me nuts, ... so I pulled into a Mienike Muffler Shop and got my Exhaust System fixed.
They didn't have a Monte resonator in stock,... so I've got a Caddy CTS Resonator going back to a FlowMaster Muffler. My Monte is F-A-S-T-E-R than it was before the Exhaust work.

I'm looking at the dynomax myself. They say the kit bolts right on with NO welding
involved. Even I can handle that.

I have a ZZP Powerlog, into the ZZP Downpipe, into the GMPP Cat-Back Exhaust system (which all bolts right on and no welding for anything)

The GMPP Exhaust kit is sold by Summit for about $550 shipped. It's made by magnaflow, shortens the resonator and sounds and looks really nice (in my opinion)

do you have to cut the original exhaust off to install that kit?

everything bolts up, no cutting needed.

To remove, you just unscrew the 2 bolts that connect to the stock downpipe (right after the cat) and then you pull everything off the hangers.
