Yeah I found a shop near me and told them what I wanted and they said like 700 for them to do the piping and for the mufflers installed. For that much I can just buy a system and have it installed and would sound a lot better.

Yes, I know what he has. That is why im telling him though (he says there isnt too much for the 3400) so he could look for muffles for the 3.4. Thats the setup I have (for the 3.4) and it seems too be great. Nothing but positive feedback from people who have heard it.

And every shop that installs mufflers for the 3400 will put on mufflers for the 3.4. I checked about 7 exhaust shops when I was looking to get mine done, every single one said the 3.4 setup was the way to go instead of universal parts.

What's universal parts when talking about exhaust systems?

He can use any cat-back (if he wants to buy a kit) for the 3.8 engines, just needs to get the hangers installed on the driver's side because he's a single outlet right now.

Like universal mufflers. For example, flowmaster 44's. I know thats a bad example cause those are good mufflers, but I mean like other kinda off brand mufflers where you just tell them the in/out diameter.

I would buy either a SLP, magnaflow, flowmaster or dynomax system

Go with the cat-back that I posted for you. It's made by magnaflow
