I run it open all the time, one the highway it's going to be a little quieter when DOD engages, but I'm sure it's still louder than normal. It's hard for me to make a judgment since I've gotten used to it. But yeah there probably is a little cabin noise. But again, mine is dumping at the Y whereas if you run straight pipes it will be more out the back.

Well super loud is subjective, but no, I don't think mine is super loud. It's loudest at idle and low rpm

I also agree that 'super loud' is pretty subjective. I can only speak of my experience with my cutout (which is obviously going to be louder inside the car since it dumps right beneath it)- but when I drove across country (about 30 hours)- I only had it open maybe an hour or two tops; I couldn't stand hearing the roar for that long. Now driving back and forth to work (about 30-40 minutes, mostly highway), there are some days I leave it open the whole way- even for days; but I still think it would be too much to have to listen to every single day.

Obviously everyone has their own tolerance level- but personally, I wouldn't want to have to listen to the thing straight piped every day on the highway.
