Also... NEVER buy a car as an investment. You'd think a Dodge Viper would be a good one until you look on ebay and can find some under $30,000.

 

Personally I wouldn't worry about passing ohio emissions, if 2003 supersport can pass California emissions with a top swap. You shouldn't have any problems here.

 

Yeah, that's true. Although I bet if you kept a car under 5k miles and just maintained it (a collectable) it would probably gain value by retirement I'd guess.

As far as the emissions, I should research more into it. It's not like I wouldn't love to do a top swap but emissions are tailored specifically to make and model and emissions measured from factory with a little leeway. It isn't just Ohio, but just my county that seems to be heavy on the emissions testing. That's awesome about your top-swap passing cali emissions though.

 

There's no fun in that though.
