Why did you ?
It had a lot of options, not to goddy. Lots of room for a 2 door. My dad he is a big guy and has plunty of room when he is in the car, and I'm 6'-6'1" and about 250 and I have plunty of room. Plus this 3.9 has plunty of power to get up and run and it the LTZ with the rims and the exhaust cutouts looks pretty sweet.

The voices in my head told me to. And my Rice Krispies agreed. It was really kinda spooky. My Cheerios thought so too. They spelled out, "OOOOOO"!!!
Sorry Space. It's been a long night at work.

Well I was going for a camaro or an eclipse. But my mom who had a 76 monte in highschool loved the car. So while looking at a camaro, my parents fell in love with the monte. And jut like shunned off the camaro idea. And the fact its insurance as higher.
Likes: Looks, Interior, good amount of speed (any more and id have no license)
Dislikes: New transmission needed at 115k, FWD

The mileage, the price, the performance, the looks, the ride, the build quality, the V8 sound, electronic goodies like XM, dual climate, 6 disc changer, heated seats, steering wheel controls, DIC... There are more reasons too of course.
I'll chime in once again.
Montes have a mystic, and history to them.
They spell out (or used to) performance. Not so much with the 1995 - 2005. Sorry but the re-invent of adding the 5.3 V8 to the '06 SS should have brought some former Monte owners back home. So to speak.
I'm not saying the N/A 3.8 or the supercharged 3.8 are anything to slouch about. I happen to like the performance our 3.8 gives.
(Note: we took the Pace car out for a couple hours today. first in over a month)
And who knows about the 3.9 in the '06? I don't drive it enough to remember?
But whether it's a '70 Monte or '07 Monte they still get looks of admiration.
