6th Gen ('00-'05): What speed will my Monte govern out at?
Enzo, why does it seem that you always seem to find a way to say something smart? A simple " there really is no difference unless you're well over 100" would have been sufficient from you. Ive done my reading, which is why I said the only reason I tried to manually shift was because of all the talk about it. Again, I RARELY manually shift. hope u get it the second time u read this if not, keep doing your reading...
I RARELY MANUALLY SHIFT. ONLY REASON I DID WAS BECAUSE OF ALL THE TALK ON THE FORUM ABOUT IT.
Check your attitude man I dnt mean to disrespect you but even on others questions, you seem to be smart about what you say. the forum is clearly a place where ppl get information and ask questions about things they aren't quite sure of. I appreciate your concern for my cars well being but if I want a smart answer about my monte I'd just ask the Honda guys

If you actually want to race it and you are at a track, putting it in 3 is what people say to do, that way you won't shift into overdrive. You really don't need to anyway though, unless you let out of the throttle you won't get into O/D.
Well watching people go out and act recklessly in a car designed to get to the store and back bothers me. Don't take it personal, but going that fast without even knowing what is making you get to that speed makes it twice as dangerous. I didn't know what I was doing back when I first got my car either. I wanted raised shift points and the limiter removed, and I'm glad my friend helping me tune learned me a little something.
