It's possible that it just runs out of steam at that speed and 4th gear is working too hard.

my N/A 04 monte before i modded it shut off around 109mph.

It must govern there because it just cuts out.

I got mine to 100 racing a GTI on a small highway with a speed limit of 45 but i was dumb back then and had it in OD

it was still going but i didnt want to risk it (tires were **** then) i was already 3 car lengths behind

Good rule of thumb. If you don't know how to remove the limiter from your car, you have no place going that fast in it.

Hahah you guys crack me up. This is the first car I've had that is computerized. I've had plenty of experience going way over 112 in my Chevelle and my dads Chevelles. All I wanted to know is if there was a wire to unplug or anything like that like there was in some of the Chevy pickups. There's no way I'm going to pay to have a shop tune my PCM its just a waste of money for a kid my age.
