Got my 4 "new to me" wheels mounted up this morning. And it proceeded to break tonight. Go to leave my parent's house and the key wont turn. Needs a lock cylinder. Got to wait until Monday to get parts though, and then I have the pleasure of drilling the old one out.
you gonna be ready for the Monte Nats in Richmond next year.........

Had some shop brand glass pack mufflers put on my car the other day.. previously I was running with a single 21" glass pack in place of my resonator and straight pipe to a Y out the back. It sounded great with the 3400, rumbly idle with absolutely no rasp at high RPMs. But, the drone was killing me on highway trips.
Current setup is one 21" glasspack and a Y pipe out to 2 12" glass packs. Call it cheap, or whatever you will. I just cant justify spending 100$+ on namebrand mufflers that don't sound as good. I much prefer the sound of glasspacks, in my case it gives me a very tame low end, but still makes lots of noise when you mash the pedal. The idle isn't as rumbly now but it has that pleasant deep tone that puts a bit of pressure on your ears. Again, I do have the 3400. Different firing orders and therefore different engine noises, what sounds good for me may not for most of you :\ .

i got gas checked aire pressure in the tires and checked the fluid. i am going to be off tomorrow and goting to top off my radiator fluid. it looks like i had a air buble that finnally worked its way out of my system. it was cold yesterday and this morning and i used my heater. it probably worked the rest of the air bubles out. i didnt see any leaks when i got off work the past couple of days. it was running a little warmer than usual. but not to wory about. just a little low due to changeing the fluid.
