I ordered a couple red "Monte Carlo" nameplates for my LS' quarter panels. $27 a piece at my cost for a piece of plastic. "intimidator" ones were $270 each.

Last night I cleaned the windows, inside and out of the 014 OPC and the 04 SS SC. Sparkling clean. Oh. Head lamps and tail lights also.

Not today, but on Saturday my buddy and I pulled the engine out because I wanted to put it into mt Grand Prix so I can actually start driving it AND be able to restore the Monte Carlo. It was a good thing we pulled it when we did. I had been driving and racing with a blown head gasket for the last 3 years. It was a small blow between cylinders 6 and 8, which caused coolant to seep into them, which is why I was fowling those two spark plugs every other month. Also the timing chain was stretched and the intake was close to leaking. He went through the motor and cleaned the pistons, valves and lifter valley, replaced the timing chain, resealed the engine. I cleaned and painted it. We got it in the Grand Prix Monday, we got it fired on Wednesday with open headers and it ran like a champ. He finished fabricated a new Y-pipe to connect the headers to the stock exhaust system, which came out real nice (2.5-inch Y) and used one of the Monte's Magnaflow high-flow cats to replace the POS OEM cat.
