Default What is this 85 Monte Worth?

I am looking at a 85 Monte LS for a project car. The body and interior are in almost perfect shape. The car does not have an engine or transmission in it. The guy wants $700.00 for it. Is it worth that or is he asking way too much?

I don't think $700 is too terrible of a price.

$700 isn't a bad price for that monte as long as the frame is in good shape

I'd pay 700 for it. It looks like a pretty nice car. I would think you could put together a nice weekend toy. The frame and floorboards may be the deal breaker tho depending on your skill level and budget. These cars frames are prone to rot behind the rear axle so check that out.

I will have to take a closer look at it. He says the frame and floors are solid in it. I had a 79 monte in high school, and the frame in it was so bad the back bumper fell off on the interstate. I am looking for a weekend toy to build, and don't see many older montes running around anymore.
