Default RE: 6th Gen & 7th Gen ? Pic's

Actually, according to a book I have, "The 2004 Standard Guide to Cars & Prices 1901-1995," second gens are worth more than third gens. A mint condition 2nd gen sport coupe Monte is valued at $12,500 while the Landau is worth $13,500. A mint condition 3rd gen Monte is valued at $8500 ($9000 for Landau and deduct 10% for 6-cylinder). For some reason 1980 V8 Monte's are valued at $6800 ($6900 for Landau).

Interesting information I found in a Consumer's Diegest magazine my father gave it. It has all the new cars/trucks/suvs for '07 in it along with info on what cars NOT to buy. They state the '98-03 Montes are one of these cars NOT to buy.

Personally I like the 2000 MCs. I think they do get back to some basics the '81-88 Montes have. (how can anyone think the '78-88 Montes are the same? definately a different body)

I thought from 2000 to 2006 if I ever got to own a 6th gen Monte it would be a used 2000 and not till 2010. I just couldn't afford one.

It really doesn't matter to me what generation the '06/07 Montes fall in to, but I do see a lot of the 2000-2005 Montes in the '06/07s. If I had to pick a generation I would place the '06/07 in the 6th generation. Not a 7th.
