Default Upgrades...... HELP!

Ive run out of ideas on what more i can do to my monte performance wise.... Im stumped!!!

Heres a list of what ive done so far.

-Intake
3.5 IN OD 6IN Length pipe that leads to MAF which leads to 3.5" OD spectre 9" length filter with a slim custom fab aluminum airbox.... kinda ghetto airbox but not bad for someone whoes never built one...

-Exhaust
SLP Powerflow catback exhaust system.

-PCM
Tuned PCM from Overkillmotorsports.

Any ideas on what my next attack should be? Any recomendations for modding the current mods i have?

Im looking for performance and im totally at a loss here. All opinions are welcome!

To me, it looks like you have reached the limits of what will bolt on. You can have your heads ported/polished and gasket matched... Ummm... IDK.

Have you fixed the tranny problem yet? You may want to consider a shift kit.
Also, a tranny cooler isn't the sexiest mod you can do but it saves $$$ in the long run.

Thanks millermontess! Funny thing about the tranny problems is that they all went away after my whole canned PCM process and not using E-85 because it didnt work with my tune. Yeah the tranny shifts perfectly since the tune/ replacement of the PCM.

So i may not require the shift kit, however the cooler sounds interesting. Can you explain?

Here is a link from another forum. It should help.

http://ls1tech.com/forums/ls4-perfor...must-read.html

The transmission in our cars is notorious for failing. The tranny cooler acts like a radiator for the transmission fluid to keep it cool and prevent premature failure.

EDIT: I know you don't have the LS4, but the transmission is the same.

i have a cooler sitting in my room waiting for me to install. There has been alot of ppl on the LS4 forum that run tranny fluid temp of 210-215 before (including me) and after the cooler install they run 160-175. So it seems like a great mod to help out the transmission

That's it for that engine that I know. Maybe later we can upgrade to the new Impalas 3.6l 6-spd engine. I think that has 300 hp.
