Post trunk project

well, my trunk project is gonna be a lil like this.......
removing the spare tire well, and patching in flat metal
building custom sub box and side pannels, and new black carpet on everything
as of right now, ive got the wheel well out and getting ready to put the flat metal in........
1st i scraped off all the factory SEAM SEALER
and sanded a lil till the factory welds showed up, then drilled out the welds, poped out the wheel well, and getting ready to go out in the yard to cut the skin off a trunk deck for the patch pannel
heres a few pics sofar........more pics coming up later

ill be starting the sub box after i finish up this pannel area

reason being, is to not see this ugly spare well shots anymore

just curious, but anyone else done this before?

im at the point where i have to start building the pannels, they are going to be out of accuply 1/4 flooring underlayment, then when fit, the carpet will be glued on them, but im done for the day now, and set the box and braces about where they will go gor an idea...
im actually going to use this box, and just build off the sides of it all around, and then cover everything with the black carpet.......leaving the bottom area open for misc. goods....
heres the pics

as soon as its finished, ill get some side shots of it
but i can tell u, it looks alot better from behind now, but i just need to drop the fuel tank, and get a nice coat of paint on it too.........

well heres it finished, other than the carpet, i decided not to build side pannels, just for the fact of easy access to the wires
everything (accept the inner quarters)will be carpeted, to giv it a finished look, the braces are mounted, box and amp mounted, just need the carpet now
heres the pics,

and no more ugly wheel well

also stuck the monte carlo tag on the box, i think itll look good after carpet.......
what u guys think?
