Maybe your trans is throwing a code that doesn't cause the SES light to come on. Sometimes you'll have background codes thrown and won't know it because the light doesn't go off. Sometimes these codes will cause the trans to go into what is called limp mode to save itself.

Here's a question for anyone that may know...

Is there a danger in driving the vehicle with the traction control/anti-lock issue going on? I probably drove it for about a month or so when it started happening the first time. When I finally had a chance to give my car over to the shop for an entire day, it was doing the grinding, vibrating deal quite often when I was sitting still, when I would take off at a light or even when I was just driving.

My concern here is safety. Is the hub going to blow out and cause the tire to lock up or are there any other concerns here?
