I have a 2004 Monte Carlo SS/SC and the trac off light and ABS lights are on. I hooked it up to the scanner and received 3 codes one is C1226 RF speed variation another is C1232 LF wheel sensor short or open and the 3rd one is C1248 DRP disabled. I have replaced all 4 wheel hub bearings over the course of about a year. The C1232 code was the first to appear then about a week later the C1226 popped up. I wouldn't have thought to scan it again but the BRAKE light started coming on every once in a while then on my way home from work last week the cruise control light started blinking and the cruise did not work. I haven't had an issue with the cruise this week, it is working fine. My best guess is that the speed sensors are bad but I'm not for sure. If anyone knows how I can go about troubleshooting this problem without having to get a more expensive scanner please let me know. Thank You.
