Default abs and trac off light.

Ok. So I did some research on my own to fix this problem.

I read that 9 out 10 get this problem fixed by replacing
speed sensor wire harness.
I went to the shop paid 250 to get them replace on both front end.

but then, there you go, those light comes back on....

where should I go from here guys????

it all depends on what codes are being stored in the ebcm...best thing to do is to have a diagnostic performed and go from there...there are so many reasons that the abs/trac lights will come on...from a wheel bearing all the way to the ebcm itself...let me know what code is being stored and i can see if i can help you

Yeah very common problem. Not that easy to pin down exactly what the root issue is. My car is in the shop right now as a matter of fact for this issue. Mine is the speed sensor in the wheel hub. Ive even heard a loose spark plug can even trigger the lights or message to come up. Good luck man. Chasing these kind of problems can be very frustrating not to mention expensive. Getting the stored codes is the best and most accurate way to getto the bottom of it.

It can actually be caused from the rear hubs as well.

Their ABS scanner should have told them which one was throwing the code. If you can get those ABS codes read again you can diagnose further.

(Also be careful with the prefixes, this was just a question, and not a post of FAQs, thanks!)
