Things that bother you about your Monte...
Post the things you have found out about your Monte that bother you, please make sure to list what year it is too.
2004 LS
Can't turn off the DRL's
front and rear lower bumpers(faux lip at the bottom) are painted body color, yet the skirts are black. WTF????
When you look over your shoulder to change lanes, all you see is your car!!! Blind spots=Not good
The cup holders, too small
The center console/armrest feels flimsy when you open it
The dash is pulling up a little bit on the passenger side, towards the middle of the car
No factory tweeters installed in the A pillars. Given how good the stereo sounds, that would be the icing on the cake.
no dead pedal
ebrake pedal instead of the sportier looking/feeling lever mounted near the gear shifter
As you can see, all are little things, nothing that makes me not like the car, but improvements I feel could be made to make it even better.

2003 SS

It's not a RWD V8.
It came with Goodyear RSA's
Cheap interior parts/coatings/Paint
The fog light bulbs are hell to get to.

I agree about the dashboard. My 2005 LT rattles and has to many rubbing sounds (plastic against rubber/leather seams) I even posted about this. The whole dashboard is to plasticy for me. Also I miss having the drive, reverse etc. next to the shifter. Sometimes in the morning the dashboard indicator is washed out by the sun and is hard to read. Its a minor thing but is king of buggy to me. I also agree on the rear blind spots.
just my two cents,

2005
well where to start i love my monte and wouldnt want anything else but here we go:
true duals would be nice
stock rims and tires
ebrack pedal
the trunk is a rattle box
v6 fwd
gas door looks like something off a honda
guages and sterio has no personality (along with almost every other chevy)
drl
v6 fwd
and one last thing ...
did i mention the fact that it is a v6 fwd car when its based off of a rwd v8!!!! i mean hello if your going to advertise the monte as being the winningest car in nascar it should be like somewhat like it performance wise

Looks like alot of you share my feelings. It would have been nice if it were RWD, but I do not dislike it cause it's not.
big green dog- Even hondas have better gas doors than this. My 94 Accord had a flush mounted gas door, I had to pull a lever inside the cabin to open it up, it was a good look!
benhillzone- so there's nothing you wish was different or better on your Monte?

I remembered another "issue", the seat belt. My 94 Accord had a nice feature, the bracket that's mounted on the pillar just behind your head, it was adjustable vertically to accomodate both tall and short drivers. On the Monte, it's got a loop that's attached to the headrest, which is mainly for when you fold the back forward to allow someone to get into the backseat, which you can slide the seat belt in to bring it down a bit. It helps a little bit, but having the bracket be adjustable is so much better. As is, the seat belt puts enough pressure on my neck to make it uncomfortable. So much so, that I was thinking about getting some "Monte Carlo" embroidered seat belt shoulder pads
