Default Gas Cap Hard To Remove - Any Fix?

The Gas Cap on my 04 Monte is a stubborn little devil. Does not like to come off easily at all. I imagine it has something to do with the Pressure or Vacuum inthe Fuel Tank.
Anybody have a similar experience with hard to remove Gas Cap?

What can I do to make it easier for my wife to get the Gas Cap off the Filler Neck?

mines not hard to remove... but when i put the nozzle in, i have to wait about 30 secs-1 min to start pumping, else it'll put in like a quarter of a gallon and stop, a tenht and stop. its got to "burp" the tank or something apparently.

Mine's been having some problems lately, but I figure it's just due to the cold, 'cause it feels like it's frozen. -8 F here right now.

Maybe that was my problem. I had he!! trying to put gasin mine the other day, kept stopping like it was full. After having a fight with it, it finally filled. I thought I was l going senile or something.

My mom bought an '08 Chevy truck and she has a real hard time getting the cap back on. No problems taking it off though.

If you can take the cap in side the house for a while (and not drive the car). Maybe inspect it for cracks or broken seals. I old car (vw golf) I had to take some Lube and soak it for a 1hr so it will (lack of a better term) come in and out easier
