Default Thanks ProCarParts.com for nothing.

Well i've been eyeing up a dash for my Monte for a while and finally decided to buy it. Simular to this one.

http://www.procarparts.com/product_i...82c97f40d7ff36

So i ordered it Sunday and got an email saying that it was sent out Monday. They even gave me a tracking #. Here i am thinking that i have it coming to my house when i get an email stating that it has not even been shipped out yet. it even said that it was damaged when it was being packaged and was offered a different one instead.

The one that i originally wanted was a white face. The one they were offering me was a silver face. My light switch and heater controls are white. Silver is not going to work.

So i call them and the guy that sent me the email had gone home already. So i spoke to someone else. He was more worried about the fact that its almost time to go home ( he even told me that he is getting ready to go home). He eventually said that they did not have a date for when a replacement can be sent.

This really pi$$ed me off. i told him that i used to worked for a company that sold car parts that were up to 100 years old ( 1909 Ferd ) and that we had the most utmost care. The only way that a part could get damaged while being packaged is if someone dropped it. He turns around and tells me that its also possible that they dropped heavy boxes on my box.

They are returning me my money.

Now here's the kicker. they were the only company that was selling gauges for the 5th Gen. I can find 6th Gens left and right. So i guess i'm out of the gauges i wanted.

I'll get my money back, but thats not the point.

ProCarParts.com, you get a

I know shipping and receiving real well. I would ship world wide. I would send side moldings for 50's Ferd and would put them in PVC tubing just to keep them from being damaged.

But what really burned me was when he said that he was getting ready to go home. Like i was just some idiot taking up his time. I have gotten calls at my store literally 2 mins before closing and would stay on the phone for 20 mins helping customers.

Customer service is dead.

a few times i was sitting in my car getting ready to go home and the boss came out and said this an emergency shipment that the customer needed something overnight and, yes i did go back in to get it done! that is my thinking when it comes to work these days lately "do it, or they may find someone who will" the economy is bad?? and there is always someone who will do it if you won't!!

Hi `J.J.,
It amazes me how some stay in business the way
they treat their customers : (
You & Michael are just two member's that
are having problems recieving what they have ordered.
Hope that you find a better company.
Word of Mouth can hurt a company over time.

JJ if procarparts is the only place to get it from, maybe have a friend living nearby order it in their name.

Just keep in mind that you'll be waiting a long time for it.

I do agree that too many people don't give a rat's a$$ about custormer service anymore. Always seem to get that attitude from businesses that know they're the only choice.
