Default TCS problem, 2002 SS

The service TCS, Trac OFF and ABS lights keep coming on in my 2002 SS. And when they come on, the inst. MPG meter reads -E-, everything else works though. Sometimes, they will not come on at all, but they usually appear after i have been driving for about 15 minutes or so. Does anybody know what's wrong?

How long has this been going on?

If this just recently started happening have your ALT checked out, it may be bad. I had a similar experience with my wifes GMC.

If this has been going on for a while post back...

Forgot to mention, while your at TwilightZone or another parts house getting the ALT tested have them pull codes for you too if they will.

When I bought my 2000 ss, the trac/abs lights were on....The battery had gone bad from sitting in a KIA dealers lot...I disconnected the battery cables, and let it sit for a few hours..After I reconnected the battery the lights were still on...After I drove the car some 25-30 miles(for the computer to re-learn) And, let it idle for a couple of minutes after hooking it back up, to re-learn the idle function....After driving 25-30 miles, the lights went out. Now ABS/TRAC both work normally.. this also reset the low tire pressure message I had..
