if you couldnt get the bolts to work, you probably jus are doing it wrong, wanna give more details? I installed mine ok.

Ok, time to bring this back to school. Professor Kessler in the house.

TB Spacers - The idea behind this is to seperate the hot intake manifold from the throttle body. This is seen more in Supercharged applications. Some swear by them while others swear at them. 20HP is a load of BS though. Iwouldgive this 1 -3 HP increase because at the speed air moves through the throttle body it won't have enough time to heat up. Take it as the equivalent of moving your hand quickly over a candle and not burning yourself - in fact how many people even feel the flame?

As far as improving gas milage it is the same ripoff as The Tornado, but just not as fancy.

Onto the throttle body screen. There is a screen that is located on the face of the throttlebody that is used as an emergency backup incase there is a problem with the airfilter. On a stock vehicle it isn't so much a problem unless for some reason the air duct hose falls off, breaks, cracks, or the air filter itself deteriorates and falls apart. You don't want this junk falling into the engine.

This thing actually saved me so I won't ever remove it. Basically what happend is the K&N Cone filter I have slipped off a bit and left a 1/2 " gap directly into the air duct. I was able to fix that problem, but when I got to the screen, I did find a small piece of rock laying at the bottom. By small I'm talking spec size 1/8" inch stuff here. Either way I wouln't have wanted something like that to fall into the supercharger - score the walls and rotors, possibly score the valves, then fall into the cyclinder chamber to play with the piston walls for awhile. It might not breath as nice as it could, but I still have an engine and that is what is important to me.

I have removed the screen in my monte, Its one of those mods that we gear heads desperate for more hp imagine help out...Lets be honest it doesnt really improve anything...I agree with the Professor to an extent...in an application like his i would leave it in because thats a very real possible problem, and i would hate to have a stone tearing up my motor from the inside.. if you have a factory airbox or even some CAI.

Whatever professor kessler...I truly believed that you could feel the difference with a TB spacer. I personally recommend one IF you have the supporting mods to go with it.
