sutable substitute for the 200-4R transmission
My intentions for this SS restoration is to eliminate as many of the pollution control components as practical. In addition to replacing the factory Quadrajet with an older non-feedback version along with an HEI distributor to eliminate the computer interface, I'm wondering if with everything being removed, I'm going to encounter problems with the lock-up type torque converter in the stock 200-4R. Any advice for these plans in general and specifically, what transmission would be an easy swap that doesn't have the electronic controls? The intention is to keep everything else original, only restored.
Thanks in advance

700-r4, turbo 350, powerglide.
my choice would be a 700r4. Bout same as turbo 350 but adds overdrive.

There is a few companies that make a kit for the 700R4 so I imagine there's something available for the 200-4-R . Have you tried contacting a transmission shop or maybe call summit or Jegs and see if they have the parts. Good luck
