Sun roof

Default Sun roof

Looking for the sun roof seal for the 6th gen montes, the sun has gotten to mine and it just looks like crap. If anyone has one that is in pretty close to perfect condition let me know. but no rush its not leaking, just fugly!

Have you tried to recondition it? When I got my Monte the sunroof seal looked old and faded. After washing it I rubbed it down with a generous coat of white lithium grease, let it sit for a few minutes then wiped off the excess. It now looks like new.

i tried with armoral crap but ill try using that stuff it would be way better than getting a new one thanks!!

That is the same thing I have done since I had my car. Once a year I coat it and all the other rubber seals with a nice coat white lithium grease, let it set for a bit and then wipe it off.

sadly it didnt work:/ still all grey and nasty so looks like im going to have to get a new one! well ill look around see if i can get one off another car first

Talking sunroof weatherstrip

Hey about that sunroof weatherstrip mines was in the same bad shape.appeareance wise it functioned perfectly but was fading into light grey showing its abuse from the sunlight .what i did was buy some black shoe polisher at the dollar store it worked great absorbing into the foam-like weatherstripping looking like new if not better the results were

amazing

great advise ill definitely try that! mine finally dried out again so it works but stilll looks awful so im going to try that soon THANKS!!!!!
