make my monte awesome
I have a 2003 Monte Carlo ss... I want to make it a sick *** car... something I can take to a drag strip and dominate but can still drive round... anyone have ideas or know where I can get cheap parts or service for that?

How many owners ?
What condition is it presently in ? Excellent/Good/Fair/Bad ?
What is your modification budget ?
Are there any mod's now ?
Racing is not cheap 4-Sure...

Simple answer... No. Mods that are going to really show a power difference aren't going to be cheap and making power costs money. For a couple thousand you could do some things that can double your crank HP and you will probably be pretty happy with the car.
A small turbo/intercooler or a top swap, do some supporting mods to safely drop to a 3.4 pulley.
However, neither of these mods will be cheap to have installed by a shop - so if you won't be comfortable doing these yourself, get a cold air intake from Cold Air Inductions, do a little exhaust work and get your PCM tuned by Will (Overkill) and call it a day.
