Thanks everyone. The AC compressor supposedly was new back when I bought the car 24 years ago and I tried charging the system but it didn't stay cold for very long so the system had a leak somewhere. I never messed with it after that. About ten years ago someone on the firstgenerationmontecarlo site sold me everything needed to supposedly get the system running again but I have never installed any of it. I will some day but its not a priority right now and R12 is expensive and is what I plan on using in it when I do fix it. I have two cans of it right now and probably need a third.

I like the color to and is why I had it painted the factory color blue instead of the other shades of blue that had been on the car. Its called Fathom Blue.
