Selling The Monte :(
Good news everyone. The trade fell through. Also I'm telling my dad that I am no selling it to anyone including him. I'm going to drive it. If MAMONTE is correct then I'll have the most fuel efficient vehicle at our house so really it shouldn't cost as much as I had first thought.
Cool...
Well, my 89 Chevy truck with a 350 V8 and 230K on it averages 15-18mpg all the time. I run synthetic oil in it, change the plugs every 30K with genuine AC Delco, and have a K&N cold air induction on it...If my truck gets that, your Monte with a smaller engine, and more aerodynamics should do the same or better easy...if it does not, then something is wrong with it.
And I would say insurance is WAY cheaper on the Monte than any newer car...after all, insurance will look at the fact that its almost 25 years old...And if you get liability only, it should be super cheap.

Well I have ACDelco plugs. Maybe I should switch to synthetic oil next time I change it. I could do a CAI as well. My car only has 87,xxx kilometers. The motor on the other hand might have 150,xxx +, I'm not too sure. But if what you say is correct than I should be alright.
