Radio beeps when flashing headlights '02
Just noticed this today, but whenever I flash my headlights on and off by pulling the **** out and then pushing it in quickly the radio beeps. I'm pretty sure it's the same beep as when you hold down the DISP button to enter the menu. Anyone have any idea what this actually does? I'm assuming it's changing or resetting some sort of setting.

Something is not grounding correctly, and good luck hunting that down.... electrical problems are my least favorite to deal with. I may even be wrong about the grounding thing... but I'm about 60% sure of it.

I usually flash my headlights two to three times when I see someone coming at me with no headlights at night. I think the beep happens after the second flash.
I wouldn't be surprised if I had a grounding issue. I've done a lot of half-assed electrical work adding accessories to this car.

To flash your headlights all you have to do is pull the multi-function switch towards you halfway a couple of times. You shouldn't have to touch the light switch on the far left.
If you push and pull that switch a couple times in a row you reset your tire monitor system (as opposed to doing it through the radio) just like your oil life you can reset through the gas pedal. I would bet that's what is happening, because confirmation of that is a beep.

Eh, I prefer not to flash my high beams at people for that. I've always felt that's something you do either as an offensive gesture or to give right of way. I could write a book on the complex subtle connotations of non-verbal driver to driver communication, haha.
