Default Problem with Drivers window wobble on way down

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forum. Look forward to being part of the community. I have an 87 Monte LS. My drivers window wobbles when it rolls down. The track seems to move left to right about an 1/2 inch to 3/4 of an inch with play. I can't figure out how to fix it so it won't wobble going down. I'm not very mechanical but would like to learn. Also, my passenger side window rolls up very slow. Is that motor or can that be fixed?

Rob

Hi Rob, Welcome to MCF.
Sounds like the rivets that hold the track in place are warn. You can replace them yourself or take other to a good body shop.
The passenger side motor could be tired. That is Also rivetted in. They are both Farley easy to do but I wold take Mine to a body shop to ensure proper alignment. I just don't have that Artist touch when it comes to getting lines right.
Other Members with a 4th Gen may have more info for you So keep on checking back to this post.
Put some pics up when you get a chance. The 4th Gen is the car that made me a Monte Lover. Is I had a garage I would add an 88 SS to my Monte collection!!!!!
