I also say leave it alone. It's not my taste to have all that flash under the hood. I like the stock appearance. Again, I'm old school and I like a clean stock look.

is this only the case on the l67? what are they made of? the 3800 valve covers that ive seen all look like satin finished aluminum? do all the valve covers interchange or do you need to run a pair off of a supercharged 3800? like these off of the firbird. would they fit? im sure theyre a dime a dozen at the junkyard.

Pretty sure the L67 valve covers are fiberglass.

I've heard the RWD 3800's bottom ends are almost identical to the FWD ones... Not sure about the valve covers though.

I think the same (kinda) about the whole not painting. But I also disagree with it. I dont think it sould be colorful. I think there should be alot of one color (on the smaller things) and then pick somthing big to do another color. But IMO, I dont think you should go beyond black and chrome, other than the red wires. Maybe somthing like all the small things black and then the supercharger chrome, possibly go with chrome valve covers too. Or you could just go with chrome polishing everything. You cant go wrong with that...per say. Meaning, as long as its a good job you cant go wrong. I know for sure you can go wrong if you dont do the polishing correctly (just to clear that up).

those pics of the polished covers are on a boniville but the guys sig didnt say if it was the sc car or not,but its worth the try. i bet you could get a pair of those 3800 valve covers off the f body car for 10 bucks. then just polish them at home and swap.

Yeah leave it alone as far as painting things unless you are gonna completely tear it down clean it and paint it like it should be done, but not too many diff. colors. To me i don't like the stock appearance and i like to buy things already powder coated or chromed. Here is what i did! The only thing diff. is i bought the air cleaner to match the valve covers!
