well the ls7 itself is about 14 grand. but thats with all the hardware. you would have to keep a ls4 crank in it. custom headers, and youd have to start with a bare block so you can drill and tap the mating points of the front wheel drive trans. overall i believe that youd be looking at abotu $20000 for the whole get up and go.

an ls3 on the other hand will go for about 14 for the whole picture. this is due to the pice of the crate motor to be about half that of the ls7. http://www.shopfbparts.com/servlet/Detail?no=154 (ls3)
http://www.shopfbparts.com/servlet/Detail?no=67 (ls7)

and if you were looking at prices of an ls7 keeping mind in the corvette that trans is located in the rear and its all one piece of driveline. (you could of seen that price tag instead)

for bare blocks and i think you would get those from a gm perforance parts direct store.

hehehehehehehehe wooooo money

This help at all? It's not an LS7, but still an LS engine and trans.

And I'd bet that when the LS9's and LS7's are on the road more (and start getting wrecked), the price of the LS2 will go down alot too.
I think that same place has LS1 engines w/ trans for 5 grand.
