if you look on a monte ss, mine is an 03. on the driver side the monte carlo ss decal the monte carlo comes before the ss but on the pass side the ss comes before the monte carlo. WHY?

So you that you read: "Monte Carlo SS" (the car's model name and trim level) on both sides instead of "SS Monte Carlo" (which would be incorrect) on the one side. [8D]

it could be becuase the previous owner drove backwards alot and wanted others to be able to read it )))))

the car is right... thats how they all are. its so you no matter which side you are on, you read "Monte Carlo SS"

do you think it would work and look ok it i took of the monte carlo and just kept the ss on both sides but move the ss on the pass side back to the fender where the one is on the driver side.

Sure. I`ve seen anumber ofpeople do that. Removed all the "Monte Carlo" badges and even the Chevy bowties. And just kept the "SS" badges. Makes for a cleaner look.

It`s called "de-badging" by a lot of people.

Doing that is a pretty popular mod on 2000 Monte Carlo.net.
