I hope mine don't end up feeling like that with the new pads. Kinda how it felt when they get really hot as is. I will have to keep the slotted option in mind next time. How has your Monte been?
Yea I'm really liking the slotted ones. My monte is doing Great though, might be getting a transmission rebuild soon LOL while driving to work this morning I could feel 4th gear acting up and slipping a tiny bit but other than that it's driving perfect.

That's good. We all need one after awhile... I am waiting to see how mine holds up after the headers I put on. Got tint last week too. She's coming all together. I should have my new pads today so fingers crossed it takes care of the problems I have been having.

I got my EBC Red Stuff pads today and installed them right after work. They already seem to be much smoother. The break in period is after 200 miles then slow from 60ish mph 5-6 times. Until then no hard braking until then.

I also repainted my front calipers while it was all apart.

Wow! You say that like it's an oil change. Wouldn't a transaxle rebuild cost a $1,000 or more?

The color scheme between the pads, calipers and brackets looks pretty damn good!

Its just something I have come to terms with. The failure rate on LS4 cars are pretty high. It will be atleast 1800 for the transmission I want.

You bet. Even though I am already at the power limitations for his $1800 transmission I will pry have to have a custom one built since I am not done yet

Thanks again I almost feel like I need the backs to match now Guess I will have to order back pads this weekend.

my next rotors will be the drilled ones and i found them on autopartswarehouse.com for a decent price. i have ceramic pads on the back and they dont make any noise yet, will see how long they last since they are brand new.

1800 for the trany you want... i paid 1800 for a original rebuild . would have been more if i would have had the cash or time to get the one i wanted. oh well...will have to wait a few years now! patience is a virtue!

look up brakemotive. Idk how much those rotors run but a whole set of these on my car was 180 with pads. That's a pretty good deal and they are actually pretty good quality rotors.

Well it will be more than that I suppose. That is for the bottom of the line from TEP and I already am at the limitations HP wise. So I'm sure it will be mid 2000s. I want to do it right on the first try so I don't need to get another in the future.
