Default New radio locked my car in park

So they passed a law in Illinois (go figure) about handsfree driving. I have a 2006 Monte Carlo SS. Doing the right thing, I went online and purchased a bluetooth Stereo receiver by JVC, wiring harness, steering wheel control harness/module and mounting bracket. I've installed dozens of stereos over the years. Basic stuff right? Wrong. After the install, the door chimes stopped working but I figured they went through the factory stereo so no biggy. Then I noticed the turn signals didn't make a sound anymore either. Ok, maybe the same thing right? Well then I went to drive the car and the car is stuck in park. The shifter was locked up. I had to push the park release button (inside the console) to get it in gear. After further research I found that I need to purchase a new/different harness that is $150 to integrate the ONstar, blinkers, door chimes etc. I don't have $150 left to put into this project but I have some basic wiring knowledge and a lot of patients. How can I bypass the onstar and park lock features (which i'm sure is engaged due to me having the factory radio out) without spending $150??? Help!

Go to the Metra web site and find the wiring harness you need. Pull it up to view, and look for the install pdf file link. Click on that and it will give you a pin-out diagram of the harness. Replicate that with your own connectors and wire.
