Hi...I installed a B&M shifter on my 84 LX...it used to have shift column...I now need my reverse lights to work...I've read a bunch of posts on the internet about wire colors under the dash to look for, and I found the blue and light green wire...what I read was you use these wires to attach to the shifter..so I tapped into these wires without unplugging the harness, and attached them to the shifter...NOTHING...I also read that if you simply touch the blue to green, the reverse lights should come on, so I tried it...NOTHING...any help?....

 

Also, i checked both the green and blue wires, and neither has power...so how does power get to the reverse lights...what am I doing wrong...If I put 12 volts to the green, will the reverse lights light up?...Someone please help, I need to get the car inspected....
