THANKS a lot Crairg. I know where there's a beautiful '86. But "NO" you have to want an '85.

I know when I was looking for an '06 is was early october, 2006 and the Chevy dealer in my town (or close to me) still wanted $28k for an SS. They told me a no miles LTZ was $27k. Guess I should have waited till late december and saw what kind of deal I could have got, then???????

The 85 is the car I owned when I met the wife... Everytime I see one... it brings back all the good times and fogged out windows we had in that car! Would love to get another one in mint condition.

$8,200 is CHEAP!!! I would fly anywhere in the United States to get one like that!

For an '85 Olds? It better have 25k or less miles and zero rust for that price.

It's tough to get that kind of money out of an '85 Monte. SS or not.

Will I have to look... cause the R&M Classic Cars have them going for $21k to $35k in showroom condition -- same with the Monte Carlos, 1970 Hemi Cuda was like $53,000 and once was $103,000

I can see a "Classic" car dealer doing that. Now your average joe you live next door to. He wishes his '85 Olds was worth $21k.

At a Classic car dealer my '57s would be $50k and up.

Where I live, GOOD luck trying to get $50k out of a Classic car. And I live in Ohio so there's more then your average number of car nuts per square mile then you expect. That would lead you to think you COULD get a few more bucks out of a Classic car then say in Sidney, West Virginia.
