New MC 2006 SS Price
Hello
Was going to buy a newloaded2006 Red SS last year. However my finances didn't allow me to do this. Now I am ready to buy and the same car is still on the lot. What kind of offer should I make on it? In the past I haven't been a good negotiator. I get tired of haggling and walk out pissed and empty handed.

1st, because it's not current year model, you SHOULD be able to get 0% financing thru GMAC. I just did on my wife's new '07 Pontiac Solstice GXP 4 weeks ago.
2nd, I gave $5,000 under MSRP, and because yours is now 2 years old, I would think even more than that would be fair. I'm thinking $7-10,000 under MSRP + 0% financing, or walk away and find an '07 for about the same deal. Look on cars.com for an '07.

go low.. somebody had a post (was it Craig) about some leftover SS;s in parts of the country for $21-$22,000.. i'd go inthere and offer them about $18,500 for an SS. By the way, if you read this message.. DO IT TODAY!!!! ON THE LAST DAY OF THE YEAR!!!!
It looks a whole lot better when they do inventory if there are fewer cars on the lot.

I guess I live in the wrong part of the country. Dealers will not negotiate. One had an 06 and will go down to 28k other one 27K. I found an 06 Black SS with 12k miles for 17K. It is certified and has a carfax.

$10K OFF is right! I work at a dealership, I'm with Cowboy, $32K car, I'd offer $18995, wouldn't paid a penny over $19995 or roughly $21604 out-the-door.
With that said, I'll sell you mine for 23,995 with a 72/72000 bumper to bumper warranty and my car has 3900-miles

meaning you'll come down to $14,000
this is my negotiating tecnique, taught to me by my father. if you take the car that is like $30,000. you decide you're willing to pay $25,000. don't offer them $25,000. offer them, say, $21,500 or so. if they jump on it, you payedl ess than you expected. but you can always let them talk you up a little and settle on $25,000

$14K.... hmmmm.... NO! $23995 is a firm price... Even though I know you can still buy a Brand New 2006 SS for like $21,000 (before tax, title, license, doc, etc.) if you look for the deal. Done are as pretty as mine! or has the HP... or has a 72/72 bumper-to-bumper, or has the suspension system, or is as flawless as mine! But I would consider a trade for a mint 1985 Cutlass Supreme....
